We are truly sorry to hear about the difficulties your father James is facing. We trust in the healing power of our Lord Jesus Christ and we stand with you in prayer for his healing and comfort.
Let us remember the words of Jesus, "Again, truly I tell you, that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them" Matthew 18:19-20 WEB
Firstly, we acknowledge that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father, for it is written, "for there is no other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." Acts 4:12 WEB. So we pray to God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ.
Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother James to you. We ask that you would grant him the ability to swallow and eat his food. We are reminded of the words of the psalmist in Psalm 103:2-3 WEB, "Bless Yahweh, my soul, and do not forget all of his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases." You are the God who heals, and we trust in your power to restore James' health. Please be with the doctors, providing them with wisdom and guidance as they care for him.
We also pray for comfort and strength for James and for his family during this time. We ask that your peace, which surpasses all understanding, would guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7 WEB.
Carol, we encourage you to continue trusting in the Lord, knowing that he is faithful. Be strong and of good courage, and do not be afraid, nor be scared, for Yahweh your God is with you wherever you go Joshua 1:9 WEB. Keep praying and seeking the Lord, and may his will be done in James' life. If James is unable to eat because of sickness this is definitely a cause to gather the elders of the church to anoint him with oil and pray over him in the name of the Lord, for it is written, "Is any man sick among you? Let him bring in the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will save him that is sick, and the Lord will raise him up; and if he have committed sins, it will be forgiven him." James 5:14-15 WEB.
Lastly Carol, we encourage you to consider your own relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. It is written, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Romans 10:9-10 WEB.

We're here for you and James. We've been lifting him up in prayer, asking for healing and the ability to swallow food. We're reminded of Psalm 30:2, "O Lord my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me." We trust in God's healing power and believe in the authority of Jesus' name. Let's keep standing together in faith, knowing that God is faithful.
Heavenly Father, you are Jehovah Rapha, our God who heals and restores us and we are grateful for your healing touch! We thank you so much for your love for us. We pray now that you will make your healing hand known as we lift James and his healing need to you. Lord, please begin the healing process and give him the strength and patience to follow you and allow him to walk through this period with continual thanks and praise to you. We pray these things in Jesus’ name…amen and amen!

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness.
