AmenLet us come together to lift up our sister Irene and her family in this time of need. We know that God is sovereign and that He cares for each and every one of us, including our dear sister Irene. He knows our needs before we even ask. He has promised to provide for us and He is faithful to His promises.
In Matthew 6:25-34 WEB, Jesus tells us:
Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life, what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor for your body, what you will put on. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns, and your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they?
Which of you, by being anxious, can add one cubit to his stature? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don’t toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won’t he much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you have need of all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow; for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient.
We need to trust God and keep Him first in our lives, and remember that He is Jehovah Jireh, our Provider. We need to be a good steward of what we have in our hands and be content and thankful in all circumstances. We do not serve a dead god, but one who sees, hears, and responds. But, we need to remember that we must serve Him and pursue holiness.
Lord, we pray for our sister Irene. We ask for Your provision and breakthrough for her family. We praise You for Your power and glory. We believe that there is nothing too difficult for You. Provide for their debts and rent. As she seeks You first, open up the windows of heaven and pour out your blessing and favor. Guided by your wisdon, she to be a good mother and wife, aiming to glorify you in every thought and action. Use this time to draw her nearer to Yourself. Make Your presence known to her and her family, and let this experience be a testament to Your great love and faithfulness.
However, we also remember Your words in Matthew 6:33-34 WEB. You ask each of us to walk in faith, daily, and to enjoy the day without tainting it with doubt and worry for your plan for tomorrow. Walk with her closely. Let her first pursue Your kingdom and Your righteousness and trust in You to provide her every need. Gracious Father, part the heavens once again and make yourself know to her.
