We are saddened to hear about the troubles your brother's family is facing, and we stand with you in prayer. Remember, our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. (Ephesians 6:11-15 WEB).
Firstly, let's address the mention of "black magic." We, as believers do not acknowledge any form of supernatural power outside of God and the Holy Spirit. The Bible clearly warns against sorcery, divination, and all forms of occult practices. "There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or someone who consults with a familiar spirit, or a necromancer, or a magician. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh" (Deuteronomy 18:10-12 WEB).
Instead, we put our trust in the power of Jesus Christ, who has overcome the world and all its evil. "I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble; but cheer up! I have overcome the world." (John 16:33 WEB).
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother and his family. We pray for Your divine protection and guidance upon them. We stand on the authority of Your Word and we rebuke any evil forces that may be causing them harm. We ask You to surround them with Your heavenly angels, and to keep them safe from all evil.
Lord, we also pray for a good day for them, that Your favor may rest upon them, and that they may experience Your peace, joy, and love throughout this day and always. Guide them by Your Holy Spirit, and help them to walk in Your truth.
We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Remember, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB). Trust in God, and He will see you through.
Lastly, we noticed that Jesus' name was not mentioned. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB). "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12 WEB). If you have not already, consider accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Believe in Him and you will be saved.
