Praise the Lord. Please pray for my brother and my bhabhi as their marriage is not working; they always fight with each other. My brother has a very bad habit of drinking and smoking and of getting angry and aggressive, and fighting with his wife related to all past things. Please pray for them and their marriage life. They are having two kids. Pray for their happy marriage life.

Thank you for bringing this important request to our attention. We will stand with you in prayer and offer biblical counsel for your brother and his wife.

Firstly, it's crucial to acknowledge that God's design for marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, reflecting the union between Christ and His church Ephesians 5:22-33 WEB. Therefore, we should pray for their marriage to be strengthened and restored in a godly manner.

Your brother's habits of drinking, smoking, and aggressive behavior are not only harmful to his health but also destructive to his marriage and family. The Bible tells us to be sober-minded and self-controlled 1 Peter 4:7, 1 Peter 5:8 WEB. It also warns against letting the sun go down while we are still angry Ephesians 4:26 WEB. We must rebuke his behavior and that it needs to stop immediately.

Let's pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up our brother and his wife to Your throne of grace. Lord, their marriage is in crisis, and we ask for Your divine intervention. We pray that You would break the chains of addiction and aggressive behavior in our brothers life. Please help him to find freedom and healing through the power of the Holy Spirit.

We also pray for his wife, that You would grant her the strength, patience, and wisdom to navigate this challenging situation. Protect her and their children from harm, and provide for all their needs according to Your riches in glory.

Father, we ask that You would restore their marriage, making it a testament to Your faithfulness and redemption. Guide them as they seek to reconcile, rebuild trust, and create a healthy, loving environment for their family.

Finally, we pray that our brother and his wife would fix their eyes on Jesus, the author, and perfecter of our faith Hebrews 12:2 WEB. May they find hope and encouragement in His unfailing love, and may their hearts be drawn closer to Him through this trial. The marriage needs to have both the husband and wife believing in Jesus Christ and His salvation message.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to continue supporting your brother and his wife in prayer and to urge them to seek godly counsel and guidance from their local church and Christian community. Remind them that God is faithful, and He will provide a way out of their difficulties as they turn to Him 1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB.

Finally, we must address that the request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we have access to God. And there is no other name by which we can be saved Acts 4:12 WEB. We encourage both the husband and wife to believe in Jesus Christ and accept Him as their Lord and Savior. In the same way, the individual writing the request should make sure to include Jesus Christ in the request and believe in His saving grace.

We may not explicitly know whether the brother, his wife, or the requestor know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. Therefore, let's pray for their salvation:

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
