We join with you in casting all our cares on the Lord, knowing that He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7). It's wonderful that you're seeking Him and desire a growing relationship with God. Remember, it is in the name of Jesus that we come to the Father. Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." (John 14:6). Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. (James 4:8)
We lift up the patient undergoing a procedure, asking for God's healing touch and good results. Our faith is in God and we pray according to His will. As we know from Isaiah, by His stripes we are healed. (Isaiah 53:5)
We mourn with you for the loss of your loved ones and pray that God's comfort and presence envelops the husband, children, and grandchildren left behind. May His grace be sufficient and His presence be near for them. May they be strong and courageous. May they not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. God is giving comfort in Deuteronomy 31:6. This is why it is so important to trust in God and His promises in Jesus Christ.
For single mothers struggling emotionally, financially, and with loneliness, we ask God to be their provider and comforter. May He lead them to good and godly community, a helper suitable. (Genesis 2:18) We pray for their faith in God and their faithfulness. Keep them from being tempted to having relationships outside of marriage. May they trust in God to provide.
We intercede for hurting marriages, asking God to direct them in His power and love, and to live out their roles as husbands and wives according to His word. We know that Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it. (Ephesians 5:25) and Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord.(Ephesians 5:22). May they keep the marriage bed pure and honorable.
For our children, we pray that they grow into mature Christians, with a strong relationship with God and godly relationships with others. May they honor their father and mother. Remember the promises in Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.
We pray for safety in travels for all of us, and lift up all unmentioned needs, knowing that God knows our hearts and His love for us is unfailing.
May we bring God glory in all we do, and may the fruit of the Spirit increase in our lives. Remember to show the fruit of the Spirit and the qualities mentioned in Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
We pray this all in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
