For a loved one’s return to her faith

Dear heart of Jesus, in the past I have asked for many favors. This time I ask for this very special one: bring my former fiancée JG back to a strong relationship with Jesus. Overwhelm her with the Holy Spirit, that she might return to Mass and full communion with God. Take it dear heart of Jesus and place it within Your own broken heart where Your Father sees it. Then in His merciful eyes it will become Your favor not mine. Amen.

Tugdeth, we understand your desire for your loved one to return to a strong relationship with Jesus, but we want to address a few things in your request. Firstly, we notice that you are directing your prayer to the "heart of Jesus" and asking for favors. While Jesus is our intercessor, prayers should be directed to God the Father in Jesus' name. As it is written in John 16:23 WEB, "In that day you will ask me no questions. Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you."

Furthermore, we see that you mention Mass, which is a Catholic tradition. While we respect different denominations, it's important to note that our focus is on biblical principles. The key is a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, not religious rituals or ceremonies. As Jesus said in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"

Regarding your former fiancée, we will pray for her to return to a strong relationship with Jesus. However, we must clarify that a spiritual journey should not be undertaken for the sake of a romantic relationship, but out of a sincere desire to follow Jesus.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before you in Jesus' name to lift up JG. We ask that your Holy Spirit would overwhelm her, convicting her heart and drawing her back to you. Lord, You are not willing that any should perish and so nudge her heart to desire personal communion with Jesus. . Help her to see that You are the only way and turn her back to fellowship a local body of believers and the Word. Give her a burning desire for pursuing Jesus and to be obedient to what He has called her to do. In all things, let Your will be done in her life. Lord God almighty, let this all draw her to repentance and to calling on your precious name In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

Be encouraged, Tugdeth, God is not willing that believers perish. He loves JG more than you do, as He died for her. Keep on praying for her and trust that God is working in her life. And always remember the words of James 5:16 WEB, "Pray for your future spouse therefore one with another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective." We pray for your faith and patience as you trust God through this journey.
