For a good relationship with my real husband
Prayer for to Love Each Other Like Christ
Father, your greatest command was to love You and love each other (Matthew 22:36-40). Youโve given marriage as a holy relationship that reflects our relationship with You. Show us how to follow your example and set aside our selfishness and pride and humbly serve each other. Help us to be of one spirit and of one mind and value each other above ourselves, looking out for each otherโs interests (Philippians 2:2-4). In the midst of our busy lives, help us take time to love each other deeply from the heart, as you have loved us (Ephesians 5:1-2). May the love we have for each other be an example to the world of how You love them and gave Your life for them. In Jesus' name Amen
A Prayer to Forgive Each Other Quickly
Father, enable us to forgive each other as You have forgiven us. Help us not to hold onto bitterness, keep records of wrong, or allow the enemy any foothold in our relationship. Keep our hearts sensitive to You and each other and move us to the work of reconciliation quickly. When we are wounded, help us be honest with each other and not fear retaliation. Help us to work through our differences in a way that honors You and strengthens our relationship. Help us grow in humility and recognize when we have wounded each other. Give us Your strength to ask for and give forgiveness. In Jesus' name Amen
A Spiritual Warfare Prayer for Marriage Restoration
Lord God, we can no longer remain stagnant in our marriage. Yet we canโt move forward, and we refuse to go backward. Our relationship feels broken like an old-fashioned phonograph needle stuck on the same groove. So, we are reaching out to You. Protect us from becoming another divorce statistic. In the name and through the blood of Jesus Christ, we resist our enemy who wants us to end this marriage. Lord, we ask You to rebuke the devour who is trying to rip apart the beautiful covenant began in us as a couple. We run to You, our Defender and Protector, our Refuge and Shelter in the time of trouble. We declare in the name of Jesus that our enemy, the devil, has no right to interfere in the sacred building of our relationship because You live in us, and You are greater than the one who roams around looking for victims to destroy. We know it is Your will to pray and believe for the healing of our marriage, and we are willing to work on it together. We stake our lives on Your promise, Lord, that when we trust in You with all our heart, You will direct our paths. You have connected our two spirits in oneness and cemented them with the bond of Your Holy Spirit. And what God has joined together, we give no room for our enemy to bring division. Your Word brings us truth and wearing the spiritual armor You have given to us, we will fight for our marriage with You as our Supreme Warrior and Commander, and the third strand in our relationship together. In the precious and powerful name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we pray, Amen.
A Prayer to be a Praying Wife
Lord, I admit that some days I wish You would just fix my marriage and would start with my husband. There are days when I feel he is the problem, when I wish he realized how much he frustrates me. Maybe if he realized this, he would change, and our marriage would get better. But, Lord, sometimes I wonder if he thinks the same things about me. God, the most powerful tool You have given us to improve our marriages is prayer. Help me bring my husband before You daily. God, I want to be a wife who acknowledges that her husband deserves her prayers. He deserves a wife who continually intercedes on his behalf; not so that You will fix him, but so that You will bless him, walk beside him, and know what is most important to his heart. God, no matter what my prayer life was like when my husband and I first fell in love, help me see the purpose and the power in praying now. You are so faithful to answer when we call, and right now I just place my marriage at Your feet. Continue to guide me as I remember what it means to be a praying wife. Help me choose to walk in love always. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen
