Let us begin by acknowledging that it is only by access to God through Jesus Christ, his son, that we can make a request for Jesus Christ reaffirms this by saying "I said therefore to you, that you will die in your sins. For unless you believe that I am he, you will die in your sins"(John 8:24).
We are lifted up by your concern and love for your daughter, as you desire a Christian companion for her. We stand with you in prayer, seeking God's will for her life. However, let us clarify that the Bible encourages finding a spouse rather than a mere partner. A spouse is someone with whom your daughter can build a lifelong, godly marriage as described in the Bible.
First, let us address your daughter's age, which you emphasized. Age should not be a primary concern when seeking God's will. His timing is perfect, and He works according to His plan, not ours. As it is written, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).
Now, let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our daughter to You and your will. We pray that You guide her steps and prepare her heart for a godly spouse. Help her to trust in Your timing and not rush ahead of Your plan.
Lord, we ask that You bring a Christian believer into her life, someone who loves You with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength, and loves others as themselves (Luke 10:27). Help them both to grow in virtue by the power of your Holy Spirit working in them and producing fruit.
Give them both a heart that is willing to be patient and wait on God’s timing and his leading in their lives. Help her to discern Your will and have the courage to follow it.
We pray for her future spouse as well. Prepare their heart, and help them to grow strong in their faith and love for You.
We ask this in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is the only way to the father. In Jesus name
Amen.
We encourage you both to trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6).
In addition, we must caution against the modern trend of living together and courtship without the intention of marriage. The Bible clearly states:
Marriage is to be held in honor among all, and the marriage bed is to be undefiled: for fornicators and adulterers God will judge.(Hebrews 13:4)
Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.(1 Corinthians 6:18)
Therefore, encourage your daughter to maintain purity and holiness in her relationships, seeking only that which honors God and aligns with His Word.
