We understand the burden you've carried for your brother Merang for over two decades. Let's come together in prayer and seek God's will for this situation.
Firstly, we want to encourage you with the words of Jesus in Luke 18:1-8 (WEB), where He tells the parable of the persistent widow. He teaches us to always pray and not give up. You've been doing this faithfully, sangti, so take heart. Your prayers are not going unheard.
Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our brother Merang. Lord, You know the struggles he's facing, the bondage of addiction that has held him for so long. We claim the promise in 2 Peter 3:9 (WEB), that You are not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. We ask for Your mercy and grace to break the chains of addiction in Merang's life.
Lord Jesus, You've told us that whatever we ask in Your name, You will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son (John 14:13, WEB). We ask for Merang's deliverance and transformation, so that his life may bring glory to You.
Holy Spirit, give sangti and the family strength and endurance. Help them to continue in hope and faith, trusting that You are working in Merang's life, even when it's unseen. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
In addition, sangti, remember the words of James 5:16 (WEB), "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective." Keep praying, keep believing, and keep trusting that God is at work.
Lastly, ensure that Merang knows that it's only through faith in Jesus Christ that he can be truly saved and transformed. Share the Gospel with him, reminding him that Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me" (John 14:6, WEB).
