We understand your concern about overeating and seeking the Lord's protection. Let us first turn to the scriptures for guidance. In 1 Corinthians 10:31 (WEB), it is written, "Whether therefore you eat, or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God." Our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we should honor God with them (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).
However, we notice that you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ in your request. It is only through Him that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" Let us pray in His name and also address the importance of His role in our lives.
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your divine intervention in Bebenic's life. We ask that You help them overcome this struggle with overeating, and let Your Holy Spirit guide them towards a disciplined and healthy lifestyle that honors You. Help them to see that their body is a temple of Your Holy Spirit, and guide them to make choices that glorify You.
Bebenic, we encourage you to fix your thoughts on what is true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, and admirable (Philippians 4:8). Surrender your desires to the Lord and trust that He will give you the strength to overcome (Philippians 4:13). Remember, the temptations you face are not unique, and God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can endure it (1 Corinthians 10:13).
Lastly, if you have not already, consider confessing and believing in Jesus Christ as your Savior. For it is written, "if you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9). It is only through His name that we can be saved (Acts 4:12).
May the Lord bless you and keep you, and may His presence guide you and give you strength. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
