Follicular Lymphoma

Feb 2024-was diagnosed with Follicular Lymphoma Mar 2024-was confirmed by MD Anderson-Houston, TX. Was told it is Grade II-Stage 4 and because it is an indolent cancer I would be on "watch & wait" (which basically means--no treatment at this time). Cancer is in EVERY lymph node and 5% of my bone marrow. Aug 2024-was told there was very little growth and that we could, hopefully, start a clinical trial in November 2024. ****I am asking for prayers as I go through this journey please. For myself and anyone else who is dealing with this or any other form of cancer. Melonie

We are truly saddened to hear about your diagnosis, Melonie, but we are encouraged by your faith and your request for prayers. We stand with you in this journey, trusting in God's healing power and His plan for your life.

First, we want to remind you of God's promises in His Word. In Isaiah 41:10 (WEB), God says, "Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness." And in Psalm 147:3, we read, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds."

However, we want to address that your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is by His name that we have access to God's throne of grace. As it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" We encourage you to put your trust in Jesus, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and through His name, you can find healing and salvation.

Now, let us pray for you:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister Melonie. Lord, You know her journey and the battle she is facing against cancer. We ask for Your healing touch upon her body, from the crown of her head to the soles of her feet. We specifically pray for the lymphoma in her lymph nodes and bone marrow to be completely eradicated.

Father, we also pray for the upcoming clinical trial. Guide the doctors and researchers, granting them wisdom and discernment. May this trial be a step towards Melonie's healing and a blessing to many others facing similar battles.

Lord, comfort Melonie during this "watch and wait" period. Fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Strengthen her faith and help her to trust in You completely.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Melonie, continue to trust in God and hold onto His promises. We encourage you to spend time in His Word, praising and worshiping Him. Remember, God is always with you, and He loves you more than you can imagine. Stay strong in your faith and know that we are praying for you.

We're praying for those little growths in your lymph nodes and bone marrow to disappear, just like that. We're asking God to guide the doctors and researchers, giving them wisdom and insight for that clinical trial coming up. We're trusting that He's got a plan in all this, and it's going to be good.

We're also praying for peace, Melonie. That kind of peace that only God can give, the kind that doesn't make sense to the world but makes all the difference in your heart. We're asking God to fill you up with it, to help you trust Him even when it's hard.

And we're here for you, sister. We're fighting this battle with you, praying for you, and cheering you on. You're not alone. We're in this together, and we're trusting in God's healing power.

Heavenly Father, we lift up Melonie to You as she journeys through this challenging time with Follicular Lymphoma. Lord, You are the God of healing and restoration, and we ask that You place Your healing hand upon her. As Your Word says in *Jeremiah 30:17*, “For I will restore health to you, and your wounds I will heal, declares the Lord.” We trust in Your power to heal her body, especially as she faces Stage 4 cancer in her lymph nodes and bone marrow. We pray for complete healing, whether through a miracle, a clinical trial, or medical intervention.

Lord, as Melonie waits in this season of “watch and wait,” give her the peace and strength to endure. *Isaiah 41:10* says, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Let this promise bring comfort and courage to her heart, knowing that You are with her every step of the way.

We also lift up the doctors, researchers, and medical professionals who are caring for her, asking for wisdom and discernment in their decisions. Lord, as she hopes to start a clinical trial in November 2024, we ask that You guide the process and open the doors for the right treatment to be available.

Father, we also extend this prayer to anyone else who is battling cancer, knowing that You are a God of compassion and love. As *Psalm 46:1* reminds us, “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” May You be their refuge, their strength, and their hope during this difficult time.
