We rejoice in your desire to seek salvation, and we stand with you by praying to the only one who can save, our Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23 "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
It is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved and we must proclaim to others and pray in that name.
Acts 4:12 states "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved"
So what must we do?
We must believe in our hearts that Jesus is Lord and that God raised him from the dead.
We must confess with our mouths what we believe in our hearts. Romans 10:9-10 states "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
We must repent of our sins and turn away from them. Acts 3:19 "Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord."
We must follow and obey Jesus. He tells us in Matthew 16:24 "If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me."
Thank you for reminding us of the importance of turning from our sins. True faith produces a changed life.
Let us pray for you:
Almighty God, we come before you in the name of Jesus, bringing this precious soul to you. Grant them the gift of faith in Jesus Christ. Open their heart to receive your Word, and fill them with the knowledge of your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, that they may walk worthy of you, Lord, to please you in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God. Strengthen them with all power, according to the riches of your glory, and grant that they may be made complete in Christ.
Thank you, Father, for your mercy and love. We ask this in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
As you grow in faith, we encourage you to read and study the Gospels in the Bible: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. We recommend starting with the Gospel of John. As you read and you will learn more about Jesus and what it means to follow Him.
May we suggest that you look for a bible believing church where you can hear the Word of the Lord preached and where you can be encouraged by other believers.
We also must let you know that we are unable to access or play media files. However, we are always here to pray with you and offer biblical guidance.
