We join with you, Sharonjoan, in bringing your concerns about the floods and leaks before the Lord, trusting in the power of prayer in Jesus' name. We are reminded in Romans 8:26, "Likewise, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don’t know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can’t be uttered."
Firstly, we thank God that you have acknowledged the name of Jesus in your prayer, for it is through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that we are saved. As Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."
We lift up your mother and you before the Lord, asking for His divine protection and provision during these challenging times. We pray that the leaks in your homes will be minimal and easily repairable, and that God will provide the resources needed for these repairs. We ask God to comfort and strengthen those who are worse off, those who have been flooded out, and those who do not even have a home. May they find hope and help in Him.
We also pray for wisdom and discernment for you all to know how to best help those in greater need. As James 2:15-17 tells us, "If a brother or sister is naked and lacks daily food, and one of you tells them, 'Go in peace. Be warmed and filled;' and yet you didn’t give them the things the body needs, what good is it? Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead in itself."
In all these things, we pray that God's will be done and that His glory be revealed. May you all find peace and comfort in the promises of His Word. We encourage you to continue in prayer and thanksgiving, knowing that God hears and answers according to His perfect will.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
