KeyWestConch, we understand that you're feeling overwhelmed by negative influences from your family and society, referring to them as a "devil" you want to flee from. Let's turn to the Scriptures together to find guidance and comfort in this situation.
Firstly, it's important to remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12, WEB). Jesus tells us, "Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour" (1 Peter 5:8, WEB). Therefore, let's first pray for spiritual discernment and strength.
*Lord Jesus, we come before You to seek refuge for KeyWestConch. We pray that You will open their eyes to the spiritual battles around them and grant them the strength to resist the devil, knowing that he will flee from them as they draw near to You (James 4:7, WEB).*
However, we must also address that the request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to God, for "there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12, WEB). We encourage you to put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ if you have not already, for He is the only way to be saved from sin and have eternal life (John 14:6, WEB).
Regarding your family and society, Jesus tells us, "If anyone comes to me, and does not hate his own father, mother, wife, children, brothers, and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple" (Luke 14:26, WEB). This doesn't mean we should harbor resentment or ill will, but that our love and commitment to Jesus should far surpass our earthly relationships, even with family. Therefore, if your family or society is leading you away from God, it is right to create boundaries and even flee from their influence.
*Lord Jesus, we pray that You will give KeyWestConch the courage to stand firm in their faith, even if it means creating distance from their family and society. Help them to love You above all else and to find a community of believers that will support and encourage them in their walk with You.*
Lastly, remember the promise in Psalm 34:18 (WEB), "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." No matter what you're facing, God is near, and He cares for you.
*In Jesus' name, we pray for strength, wisdom, and comfort for KeyWestConch. Amen.*
Stay strong in the faith, and keep your eyes on Jesus. He will see you through this trial.
