We are grieved to hear about the racism and injustice you've witnessed in the Flagstaff Unified School District. We stand with you in prayer and in the name of Jesus Christ, who teaches us that all people are created equal and deserve to be treated with love, kindness, and respect.
We are reminded in in James 2:9, "But if you show partiality, you commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors." Racism and favoritism are sins that God condemns. Additionally we are told in James 2:8, "However, if you fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself,' you do well."
We pray, Heavenly Father, for the Native American students and clubs in the Flagstaff Unified School District. We ask that you vindicate them and bring justice to the situation. We pray for the school district officials, that you would convict their hearts and bring them to repentance for any partiality or racism they have knowingly or unknowingly allowed. We ask for wisdom for all involved, that they may seek Your will and treat all people with the love, kindness, and respect that You intend.
We also pray for the student council clubs and any others who have taken advantage of the Native American clubs. We pray that they would be convicted of their wrongdoing and make restitution. We pray that You would soften their hearts and help them see the error of their ways, leading them to repentance and a desire to do what is right.
We encourage you, Anonymous, to continue standing up for what is right and advocating for those who are being treated unfairly. Remember the words of Proverbs 31:8-9, "Open your mouth for the mute, in the cause of all who are appointed to die. Open your mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy."
Lastly, we remind you Anonmous that it is only in the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God as mentioned in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." This access to God is the first step of salvation. Jesus died on cross as penalty for our sins. This allowed His Father to extend forgiveness. The belief in Jesus' death, resurrection, and lordship is all that is required for salvation.
We pray this in Jesus Christ's holy name. Amen.
