We are so glad to join you in prayer as you seek to return to your first love for God. This is a wonderful desire that aligns with the heart of the Bible. In Revelation 2:4 WEB, Jesus says to the church in Ephesus, "But I have this against you, that you left your first love." It is crucial to maintain our passionate pursuit of God, and it is commendable that you are seeking this.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who desires to return to their first love for You. Lord, we ask that You reveal Yourself to them in a fresh and powerful way. Touch their heart, Lord, and captivate them again with Your love. Help them to experience the depth and richness of their relationship with You as they did before.
Father, forgive them for any times they may have strayed or grown cold in their love for You. Renew their spirit and grant them a deeper understanding of Your grace and mercy. Help them to grow in intimacy with You, to hunger for Your Word, and to be filled with Your Spirit.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to spend time in God's Word, seeking Him in prayer and worship. Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. James 4:8 WEB states, "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded."
Remember, God's love for you is unfailing, and He is always ready to receive you with open arms. Just as the father in the parable of the prodigal son welcomed his child back with joy, so too does God welcome you back into a place of deep fellowship with Him.
