We rejoice with you as you seek to rekindle your first love for God, as mentioned in Revelation 2:4, "Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love." It is beautiful to see your desire to return to that deep, intimate relationship with our Heavenly Father.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who longs to return to their first love for You. Father, we ask that You reveal Yourself to them in a new and powerful way, touching their heart and captivating them once again with Your love. Help them to remember the joy and peace that comes from being in Your presence, and to experience that closeness with You once more.
Lord, forgive them for the times they have strayed or grown cold in their love for You. Cleanse them from all unrighteousness and fill them anew with Your Holy Spirit. Help them, Father as You told Your disciples, "I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing." John 15:5 WEB.
Help them Jesus in knowing fully that You are the way, the truth, and the life and that no one comes to the Father except through You John 14:6 WEB. Give them strength and wisdom to walk in Your ways, putting You first in their life as commanded by You Jesus, "love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment." Mark 12:30 WEB.
We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
Be encouraged, dear brother/sister, as you seek to draw near to God once again.
