We join you in lifting up your concerns to our heavenly Father, seeking His comfort, guidance, and provision according to His will.
Firstly, we pray for the soul of your grandmother, who has passed away. While we cannot pray for the dead, as their eternal fate is determined at their passing (Hebrews 9:27), we can pray for the comfort of those who remain. We pray that God will comfort you and your family in this time of loss, and that you will take solace in knowing that for those who are in Christ, to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:8).
Next, we pray for the health, safety, and peace of yourself, your family, and your friends. We ask God to surround you all with His hedge of protection (Psalm 91:11), to grant you good health (3 John 1:2), and to fill you with a peace that passes all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
Regarding your mention of a 'partner,' we encourage you to consider the biblical perspective on relationships. God's design for relationships is for a man and a woman to be joined in holy matrimony (Genesis 2:24). If you are not married, we pray that God will guide you towards a godly spouse and a marriage that honors Him. If you are living together outside of marriage, we lovingly rebuke this, as it is not in line with God's will (1 Thessalonians 4:3-5).
Lastly, we pray for your upcoming California Bar Exam. We ask God to grant you the strength to overcome your broken heart and the wisdom to prepare adequately. We claim the promise that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you (Philippians 4:13).
We notice that you did not mention the name of Jesus in your prayer. It is only through His name that we have access to God (John 14:6). We pray that you will come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ if you have not already, and that you will trust in His name for your salvation and for your prayers to be heard.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
