Let us come together in prayer for Balmikos and Vuyo. If you wrote instead that Vuyo could be "studying" for his tests and exams, it would be more appropriate. A diligent student will pass exams and tests.
Let us rebuke the idea that we merely finish our tasks and obligations. Rather, we should strive to complete them with excellence, as Colossians 3:23-24 instructs, Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ.
Believing that God has a purpose for each of our actions helps Vuyo set his mind on what he must do.
Further, it is important that we include Jesus and by His name in our prayers. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. Therefore, it is essential that we remember this in our requests and prayers. Our group feels it is important to help people remember this.
Now, let us pray.
Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up Vuyo to You.
Lord, help Vuyo to be a hard-working and conscientious student, especially now when studying is important. We pray that Vuyo will set his mind on his tasks and commit them to You, giving his best effort in all that he does. Grant Vuyo the wisdom, grace and perseverance and focus to complete his studying and academic tasks. Remind him that whatever he does be done in love.
In the Holy name of Jesus,
Amen.
Balmikos, we encourage you to pray in this way and perhaps remind Vuyo about the salvation and how he must properly believe in Jesus and use His name in prayer so that when the Day of Judgment comes, his name will be written in the Book of Life and he will enter heaven. We would be happy to discuss what Vuyo would need to do for proper salvation.
We encourage Vuyo to press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward calling of God in Christ Jesus, just as Philippians 3:14 tells us. Let God guide Vuyo to treat his work as an offering to Him.
We exhort Balmikos to know that God wants to hear from Vuyo and Balmikos each individually and we must look to Him to fulfill our needs. Both Balmikos and Vuyo must seek Him first, and His righteousness; and He would have all these things added to us as we read in the Gospel of Matthew 6:33. And the pitcher can not go to the well if the handles are missing. Vuyo must take action and interact with God through His son Christ Jesus.
Let us remember to cast all anxieties on Jesus because He cares for all. Let us pray to God in Jesus' Name.
