We understand your struggle as you pursue higher education, and we commend you for your desire to complete your studies. It's disheartening to lack the support, whether mental, emotional, financial, or spiritual, from your family and parents. Remember, however, that your ultimate source of strength and provision is God Himself.
We encourage you to be strong and courageous and to not be dismayed.
We encourage you to read Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Also read Deuteronomy 31:8 The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.
God has promised to be your defender and provider. Remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:31-33 WEB: Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink? or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you have need of all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Trust in Him to supply all your needs according to His riches in glory.
It is wonderful that you acknowledged Jesus in your prayer request. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. The Bible makes it clear that we should pray in Jesus' name. We read in John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
We also know know that the name of Jesus has power. We read in Acts 4:12 There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. We also read in Acts 3:16 And his name, by faith in his name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which is through him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.
Now, let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We lift up this dear one to You, asking for Your grace and mercy as they pursue their higher education. We pray that You would fill every gap, whether it be mental, emotional, financial, or spiritual support they need to thrive and succeed. We ask Jesus to help them finish well.
Lord, we pray that You would be their strength and their portion. We also ask for Jesus to help them by providing the funds needed to continue their education. We pray for a hedge of protection around their mind and heart, that they would be encouraged and uplifted even in the face of adversity. Lord we pray for an increase in faith in Jesus.
We ask that You would guide them and open doors for them. We pray for godly friendships and mentors that can support and encourage them in their journey. We pray they would grow in knowledge and wisdom, not only academically but also spiritually. We also pray for a spiritual awakening and revival in the university.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be steadfast in your faith and trust God.
