Finding wise counsel in a fallen world

Dear Lord, I need your help. I know that you are the ultimate source of wisdom. In Jesus Christ’s name can you lead me to people who believe in “iron sharpening iron”. I have yet to encounter such people. I realize that none of us is perfect, I just ling for godly companions (not many) at least 2. I’ve started to distance myself from toxic people in the hopes of meeting healthy ones It’s also good to be in solitude It’s good to have a balance. Amen

It's encouraging to see that you are seeking "iron sharpening iron" relationships, as Proverbs 27:17 in the WEB reminds us: "As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another."

Let us pray for you:

Dear Heavenly Father,
In Jesus' name, we come before You, asking for godly companions for our dear brother or sister. Guide them to people who are grounded in Your Word, who will encourage and challenge them in their faith. Help them to discern those who are toxic from those who are true friends, and give them the strength to maintain healthy boundaries. We ask that You provide a balance of solitude and fellowship, so that they may grow in intimacy with You and in community with others. Protect them from the sway of the world and draw them closer to You. In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.

We commend your decision to distance yourself from toxic people. As the Psalmist says, "Blessed is the man who doesn't walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers" (Psalm 1:1, WEB). Instead, seek those who are steadfast in their faith and live according to God's will.

Remember, it's crucial to be part of a local body of believers, as instructed in Hebrews 10:25, "not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching." Here, you can find like-minded individuals who strive to live by biblical principles.

Lastly, we encourage you to continually seek God's face and dwell in His presence. As you grow in your personal relationship with Him, He will guide you to the godly companions you desire. "Seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well" (Matthew 6:33, WEB). Keep trusting in the Lord, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB).

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. Help and strengthen me God to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me. Deliver and cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You.
