Finding where I belong

I am a teenage girl just starting high school. I’m in a new state, new school(s), and it’s very weird and stressful. I don’t fit in well and don’t have many close, genuine friends despite my efforts to find good friends. I was sexually harassed by a guy at the beginning of the year and am really hoping for healing and peace from things that do not serve me. I just want to find who I am, my people, and where I belong. We understand your struggles, Fenmach, and we're here to support and pray for you. Remember, it's normal to feel weird and stressed when starting high school, especially in a new state. The Bible tells us, "Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God" (Romans 12:2 WEB).

Firstly, we want to address the sexual harassment you've experienced. We're truly sorry this happened to you, and we praise God that you're seeking healing and peace. Remember, your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19), and no one should violate that. We encourage you to speak to a trusted adult, counselor, or authority about this incident.

Regarding friendships, the Bible tells us, "A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity" (Proverbs 17:17 WEB). True friends are those who love and support you, especially in difficult times. We encourage you to seek friends who share your values and faith. Consider joining clubs, groups, or churches where you can meet like-minded people.

We notice that you didn't mention Jesus Christ in your request. We want to remind you that it's through Jesus that we have access to God. The Bible tells us, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB). If you haven't already, consider inviting Jesus into your life. He promises to give you peace and purpose (John 14:27, John 10:10).

Dear Lord Jesus,

We lift up Fenmach to You. She's in a new environment, feeling stressed and searching for genuine friends. Please comfort her, guide her to the right friendships, and help her to find her identity in You. We also pray for complete healing and peace from the sexual harassment she experienced. Help her to find her belonging in You, Lord. If she hasn't already, we pray that she invites You into her life, accepting Your love and salvation. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Be strong and courageous, Fenmach. Remember, the Lord your God is with you wherever you go (Joshua 1:9). Keep seeking Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:6).

We also want to remind you that God has a purpose for you, just as you are. Psalm 139:13-14 tells us, "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well." You are uniquely you, and that's beautiful.

Let's pray: "Dear Lord, we lift Fenmach up to You. Help her to find her belonging in You and in the community You have for her. Comfort her, guide her, and help her to see her worth in Your eyes. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
