Finding peace

Please pray that I find strength to let a person go. Please pray for me to find peace in my heart. I don’t want to cry I don’t want to feel sad anymore. I don’t want this person in my head or my heart. Please pray I can get through this immediately. I need to get this person out of my head and heart. I need to heal. I pray and pray and pray but continue to go back to him when he reaches out to me. He uses me and hurts me with no shame or guilt. It’s been ### years. God I’ve had enough. I need to let go. I need Jesus in my head and my heart. It’s hard to do this alone.

It's clear that you've been hurt and used, and it's important to remember that God wants us to be free from such bonds.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you today lifting up ### in prayer. They are hurting and need your healing touch. For ### years, they have been stuck in a cycle of pain and use, but today, we claim freedom in the name of Jesus Christ. Please give them the strength to let go of this person and to fill their heart and mind with your presence instead. Help ### to find peace at last. Help them to find solace in your words. “Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30.

###, we encourage you to take this time to focus on your relationship with Jesus Christ. It's concerning that your request did not mention Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ or any similar variation. Remember that Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6 WEB. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Acts 2:21 WEB, For whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved. Romans 10:13 WEB. We are to have no other gods before the Lord our God. You shall have no other gods before me. Exodus 20:3 WEB, Know therefore this day, and lay it to your heart, that Jehovah he is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath; there is none else. Deuteronomy 4:39 WEB. He is the only source of true peace and healing. He says “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11.

It's also crucial to remember that God calls us to flee from sexual immorality and to honor Him with our bodies. Most of us have heard “Everyone else does it.” or “As long as it is between two consenting adults, it is okay.“, but God says But for the cowardly, unbelieving, sinners, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their part is in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death. Revelation 21:8 WEB. But that sexual immorality, and every kind of uncleanness, or covetousness, must not even be mentioned among you saints; nor filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not appropriate; but rather giving of thanks. Ephesians 5:3-4 WEB.

Now concerning the things about which you wrote, it is good for a man not to touch a woman. But because of sexual immoralities, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband. Let the husband render to the wife the affection owed her, and likewise also the wife to the husband. Finally, we are to love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, and mind and our neighbor as ourselves.

In Jesus' name, we pray for your healing, strength, and a future that God has prepared for you. Remain steadfast in the faith, knowing that you are a child of God and that He has a plan and purpose for your life. “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, that you may proclaim the excellence of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light”. 1 Peter 2:9. He wants to give you beauty for ashes and joy for mourning.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
