We understand that you are seeking prayers for your son ###, who is facing significant financial challenges and is at risk of losing his apartment, car, and even his support dog. We are here to pray with you and offer biblical encouragement and advice.
Firstly, we commend you for praying in Jesus' name, as it is only through Him that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." And in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
In times of financial distress, it is essential to remember that God is our provider and that He cares for our needs. As it is written in Matthew 6:25-34 WEB: "Therefore, I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they? Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don’t toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won’t he much more clothe you, you of little faith? Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient."
However, we must also remember that God helps those who help themselves. It is crucial for ### to be proactive in seeking job opportunities and not merely rely on divine intervention. As it is written in 2 Thessalonians 3:10-12 WEB: "For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: If anyone is not willing to work, neither let him eat. For we hear of some who walk among you in rebellion, who don’t work at all, but are busybodies. Now those who are that way, we command and exhort in the Lord Jesus Christ, that they work with quietness and eat their own bread."
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today in the name of Jesus, lifting up ### to You. Lord, You know his needs and the challenges he is facing. We ask that You make a way where there seems to be no way. Open up job opportunities for him, and help him to be diligent in seeking work. Provide for his financial needs, including his rent, bills, and food. Give him the strength and wisdom to navigate this difficult time, and remind him of Your unfailing love and provision. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Encourage your son to continue trusting in God and to be proactive in his job search. Remind him that God has a plan and purpose for his life and that this season of difficulty will pass.
