We are truly heartsick to hear of your plight, Gilbert, and we are here to pray and counsel with you in the name of Jesus Christ. We will lift up your needs before the Lord, trusting in His provision and guidance. Remember, God cares for you and your family deeply, and He will not forsake you.
Firstly, we want to remind you that God is our provider and that we can trust Him in all circumstances. As it is written in Matthew 6:25-34 WEB:
"Therefore, I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they? Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don't toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won't he much more clothe you, you of little faith? Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient."
Gilbert, it is crucial to seek God's will and righteousness first, trusting that He will provide for your needs. We also encourage you to be proactive in your situation. While you trust God, look for opportunities to generate income, even if it's not in the form of traditional employment. Be creative, and trust that God will open doors for you.
Regarding your debt, it is important to be wise and communicate with your creditors. Proverbs 22:7 WEB says, "The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender." We advise you to talk to your bank, explain your situation, and see if they can offer any temporary relief or restructuring of your loan.
We also want to remind you of the importance of tithing and giving offerings. Although it might seem counterintuitive, God promises to bless us when we give back to Him. As it is written in Malachi 3:10 WEB:
"Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house, and test me now in this," says Yahweh of Armies, "if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough for."
Lastly, we want to address the fact that you did not mention Jesus Christ in your prayer request. It is only through His name that we have access to God the Father, and it is only through His name that we can be saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB:
"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother Gilbert and his family. Lord, You know their needs, and You know the struggles they are facing. We ask, Father, that You provide for them supernaturally. Open up opportunities for work, and give Gilbert the wisdom to generate income for his family. We also pray for the bank loan, Lord. Give Gilbert the wisdom to communicate with his creditors and find a solution that honors You.
Lord, we also pray for Gilbert's family. Provide for their daily needs, and give them the assurance that You are their provider. We ask for Your peace to guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Lastly, Lord, we pray for Gilbert's faith. Draw him closer to You, and give him a deeper understanding of who You are. We ask that You fill his heart with Your love and give him the assurance of his salvation in Jesus Christ.
We pray these things in Jesus Christ's name, Amen.
Gilbert, stay strong in your faith. Trust that God will provide for you, and remember that He is always with you. We are here to support and pray for you, so please keep us updated on your situation.
