Let's join together in lifting up your financial situation to the Lord. As true today, just as when Jesus walked the earth, anxiety about money is very common. Jesus spoke often on the subject during his ministry. For example, Jesus taught on the Sermon on the Mount:
Therefore I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they? And which of you, by being anxious, can add one cubit to his height? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don't toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won't he much more clothe you, you of little faith? Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient. (WEB, Matthew 6:26-34)
You mentioned that you would like enjoyment from the festive season without being burdened by worry. Let us consider the words of the Apostle Paul:
Rejoice in the Lord always! Again I will say, Rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. (WEB, Philippians 4:4-7).
Let us pray:
Almighty God, we come before You, lifting up this dear one who is burdened by financial worries. We ask, Lord, that You would help my unbelief here and provide for all their needs according to Your riches in glory. Help them to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that You will add everything else.
And Father, as they enjoy this festive season with family and friends, help them to rejoice in You always. Help them to be anxious for nothing and guard their hearts and minds with Your peace.
They cry out for help with faith and worry because of their problems. Let us remember that faith can move mountains. We ask that these mountains move and for a miracle for provision. Let us be thankful for the potential of what may come and remember that it is only in the name of Jesus that we can receive anything. It is only in the name of Jesus that we can be saved. If in Jesus Name, these things happen we know he existed by our answered prayers. If the answer is yes, then thank you, Jesus. This is who we are praying to. If you do not know Jesus, come to Him now in prayer for forgiveness.
If You have been convicting their heart about anything that is not pleasing to Your name, Father, please guide them to repentance and forgiveness. Help them to love You with all of their heart, soul, mind and strength, to seek Your will above all. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
