We are truly sorry to hear about the situation you are in, Kosmaskalos, and we are here to pray with you and provide biblical guidance. First, we want to address the root of the problem: gambling. The Bible tells us to be good stewards of the resources God entrusts to us. Proverbs 3:13 says, "Happy is the man who finds wisdom, the man who gets understanding." Gambling is not a wise or responsible use of our finances, as it promotes greed, leads to financial ruin, and can result in destructive consequences, as you are experiencing.
Since gambling is forbidden by God and His word including gambling debts. You cannot just repay a debt to a gambling establishment and continue gambling with the hopes of repaying the gambling debt that way and expect alt the losses t be restored. However, you are still responsible for repaying a just debt to an innocent person that was stacked up from gambling losses, you are also responsible Biblically to seek to refund beyond what the debt was. Therefore, since it has been 3 months of debt and your salary has not been paid from gambling proceeds, it is important to repay the debt before the next gamble is made. Then make sure you cease gambling altogether.
Proverbs 28:8, " Whoever increases his wealth by high interest and profit from the poor, gathers it for him who is gracious to the poor." Failing to realize gambling is forbidden can result in the loss of state or personal property, and even your life could be required to obtain restitution for sin. Consider John 10:20 where Jesus addressed the sin of theft. If you are not dealing justly by fully repaying your debt, you are creating a debt of lack of trust with God and others. Romans 13:8, " Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law."
We must also address the fact that you mentioned so while we know you may be under terrible circumstances, its not correct to say you money was won. against terror, being a disservicein Gods eyes. As well as your life, it was not.
In God's love in this dire situation, we share the condition of restitution for your behavior, and how in your prayer request you fail to mention who makes this possible. Instead of praying to an unknown deity, we must pray through Jesus
Christ, our Lord, for our true God's true faith and credit. The Bible tells us in John 1426, "And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever."
Now, let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father, In Jesus
Christ we come to approach you,
We lift up Kosmaskalos to you, asking for your forgiveness if he has sinned and asking for your guidance and wisdom to help him out of this situation. Lord, convict his heart to turn away from gambling. Help him to see the path of destruction it has brought him to, and that it seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death. Proverbs 14:2 says Godly people, not gambling. "Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord or of me"
Lead him to seek godly counsel and find a way to repay his debts. Also, open up opportunities for him to find work and provide for his needs, give him the peace that surpasses all understanding as well as the strength to progress from his craps. In Jesus' name, we pray, amen.
Now, moving forward, it is crucial to seek godly counsel, work diligently in the employment God provides, and trust in Him to provide for your needs. The Lord promises us in Proverbs 18, even the sparrow cannot fall on the ground without His will. This and much stronger language means until the debt is fully and completely repaid with wages, gambling earnings are not biblical disregardless. "Therefore I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they? "Matthew 6:31
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5
