We are truly sorry to hear about the financial struggles you're facing, Swoedale, and we want you to know that God cares about your needs and welfare. We're called to address this situation first by praying together with thanksgiving. In Philippians 4:6 WEB it is written, Be careful for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. As well in Philippians 4:19 WEB, And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
First we need to ask, have you made Jesus Christ your Lord and Savior? It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, according to Acts 4:12 WEB, neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior then you need to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household according to Acts 16:31 WEB. If you have then you need to trust in him and in the promise of Philippians 4:19 WEB.
In seeking a better paying job, be assured that God knows your needs and He is faithful. He provides for the birds of the air and the lilies of the field. And as you are worth more than them He will provide for you. As it is written in Matthew 6:26 WEB, See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they?
Also remember in 2 Thessalonians 3:10 WEB, for when we were with you, we commanded you this: If anyone is not willing to work, neither let him eat. With that in mind remember also Colossians 3:23-24, WEB, And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.
Let's pray together for your situation:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in Jesus' name, lifting up our beloved Swoedale who is in dire need of a better-paying job to support their family. Lord, You know their struggles and their needs, and You promise to provide for all our needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
Father, we ask that You open new doors of opportunity for Swoedale. Guide them to a job that not only meets their financial needs but also allows them to use their God-given talents and abilities to serve You and others. Help them to trust in You and Your promises, knowing that You are faithful.
As they seek and transition to a better job, help them to find rest in the Lord Jesus Christ.
In Jesus' name, we pray for wisdom and discernment for Swoedale as they make decisions about their career. Help them to seek Your will and to follow Your guidance in all things.
Thank You, Father, for Your love and faithfulness. We trust in You and Your promises, knowing that You are able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
In the meantime, do not grow weary in doing good. As it is written in 2 Thessalonians 3:13 WEB, But you, brothers, don't be weary in doing well.
