We understand that you're going through financial difficulties and are worried about your debts. We want to assure you that God cares about your situation and we are here to pray with you and offer biblical guidance.
Firstly, it's important to remember that God is our provider and He wants us to trust Him in all circumstances. As it says in Matthew 6:25-34 WEB:
Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they?
Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don’t toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won’t he much more clothe you, you of little faith?
Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient.
While God wants us to trust Him, He also wants us to be wise with our finances. It's important to manage our money responsibly and to avoid debt whenever possible. As it says in Romans 13:8 WEB:
Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law.
We also notice that you ask God for forgiveness. It's important to remember that forgiveness comes through confessing our sins and turning away from them. As it says in 1 John 1:9 WEB:
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Finally, we want to remind you that it is only through Jesus Christ that we can receive forgiveness and have a relationship with God.
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today to lift up our brother/sister in need of financial stability and freedom from debt. Lord, we ask that You forgive their sins and guide them in the path of righteousness. Help them to trust in You and to manage their finances wisely. Give them the strength and wisdom to overcome their debts and to seek Your kingdom first.
We also pray that they would know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, and that they would have assurance of their salvation through Him.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
