We understand that you're facing financial struggles and we're here to pray and offer biblical encouragement. We're glad you acknowledged Jesus and Luke 18:19 (WEB) states "Jesus said to him, 'Why do you call me good? No one is good, except one—God." Remember, it's through Jesus that we have access to God and are able to receive blessings, including financial blessings. Jesus is the head of our lives and believers in Christ are one in Him.
First, let's address the financial issues and then go into the family issues. Please know that our heart goes out to you and we are praying for God's provision and wisdom in your life. Remember that God cares for you and wants to provide for you. Jesus said in Matthew 6:25-34 (WEB), "Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they? Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don’t toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won’t he much more clothe you, you of little faith? Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s trouble is enough for the day."
However, we also need to be wise stewards of our finances. Proverbs 21:5 (WEB) says, "The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit; and everyone who is hasty surely rushes to poverty." We encourage you to budget, plan, and live within your means. It's also important to avoid debt. Proverbs 22:7 (WEB) says, "The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender."
Regarding your husband's tax return, we'll pray that it's handled with integrity and honesty. Remember, it's important to obey the laws and be honest in our dealings. Romans 13:7 (WEB) says, "Give therefore to everyone what you owe: taxes to whom taxes are due."
Now, let's address the family issues. It's wonderful that you're married and seeking God's help together. We pray that God will strengthen your marriage and guide you both as one in marriage. Be sure to be in agreement with your husband in prayer as you go through life together. If you're not yet married and living together, we rebuke this and encourage you to be married if you qualify biblically (that is, you're a woman and he's a man and you're both believers in Christ). Otherwise you should live separately in purity if you're merely boyfriend and girlfriend. If your spouse or boyfriend does not believe in Jesus Christ, we are not to be in a relationship with them until they become saved. 2 Corinthians 6:14 (WEB) says, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" We pray for Jesus to be the center of your life and marriage and that you both will live for Him.
Let's pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in Jesus' name, lifting up this family. We ask for Your financial provision and wisdom. Help them to budget, plan, and live within their means. We pray for the husband's tax return, that it will be handled with integrity and honesty. We ask for Your mighty right hand to be over their electric bill, and that You will provide what they need to pay their bills and groceries, and get back on track financially. We also pray for their marriage, that You will strengthen it and guide them as one. We ask for your forgiveness for their sins and that they will live for You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
