We understand that you're facing an urgent financial need, and we're here to pray with you and provide biblical encouragement. Firstly, we want to remind you to examine your hearts. That God knows our needs before we ask. But we need to be aligned with Him. God cannot hear our prayers if we are holding onto sin. So we ask you to come before God in true repentance, agreeing with Him about your sin and turning from it.
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:7-9 WEB)
Also remember that we need to have faith. But let him ask in faith, without any doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, driven by the wind and tossed. For let that man not think that he will receive anything from the Lord. He is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. (James 1:6-8 WEB)
Regarding finances, the Bible encourages us to be content in all circumstances and to trust God for His provision. 'Let your manner of life be free from the love of money, and be content with what you have. For he said, “I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you.”' (Hebrews 13:5 WEB)
While we understand your urgent need, we must also remind you that God desires for us to be responsible with our finances.
'For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: "If anyone is not willing to work, don't let him eat."' (2 Thessalonians 3:10 WEB)
'Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law.' (Romans 13:8 WEB)
'But if anyone doesn’t provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever.' (1 Timothy 5:8 WEB)
We encourage you to seek God's wisdom in managing your finances and to trust Him for His provision.
'But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.' (Matthew 6:33 WEB)
'Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened.' (Matthew 7:7-8 WEB)
Let's pray together and agree with Matthew 18:19 that if two of us shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our ### and her husband's financial need. We ask for Your provision and wisdom in their circumstances. We will agree with you for your need. Give them strength and guidance during this time, and help them to trust in You and have faith. Give them the power of the Holy Spirit to enable them to repent of any sin they are holding onto. In Jesus name we pray.
We encourage you both to continue trusting God and seeking His will for your lives all the days of your life.
