Let us come together in prayer for this urgent need. First, we acknowledge that God is the provider of all things, and it is by the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father.
Let us remember the words of the Apostle Paul in Philippians 4:19 (WEB), "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."
We need to address some things in this request. We are to help each other as Christians, but we do not need to quit work to do that. Working is a biblical principle and not something to be avoided or stopped to provide for our family. We should look at ways we can help outside of quitting work.
Also, there is no mention of Jesus Christ in this prayer request. It is very important to remember the words of Jesus in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" It is only by the name of Jesus that we can approach God the Father and it is only by believing in Jesus that we are saved.
Lord, we come before You today, to have discussions about this family. We lift up the mother and her unborn child to You, asking for Your divine protection and healing. We pray that You will give her the faith of Job and she may say as in Job 13:15 (WEB), "Though he kills me, yet I will trust him,..." We pray for a healthy delivery in April, and that the baby will be born without any complications.
We also bring before You the financial needs of this family. We ask that You will open up avenues of provision for them, so that they can pay their bills. We pray this not just for the coming month, but until the mother can get back on her feet and the father starts to provide for this family and child. We pray that You will give them creative ideas for generating income while the mother is on leave. We pray for the father to be established in his work and to be a good provider. We pray for the family members to assist in any way they can in the name of Jesus.
We also pray for this family's faith to be strengthened during this time. Let them rest in the knowledge that You are their Heavenly Father who will never leave them nor forsake them. As a sense of urgency, let us pray for this family member who needs financial help to find work and to be a provider for this family.
Father, we ask for Your will to be done in this situation. We trust in Your goodness and Your power to provide. We thank You for Your unfailing love and faithfulness. We ask for Your help in the name of Jesus Christ and ask for the Holy Spirit to make this family realize the need of Jesus Christ in their lives. Let them realize that without Jesus Christ, we can do nothing. In Jesus' name, we pray.
We encourage this family to also seek guidance from their local church and Christian community. They should not be carrying this burden alone. We also encourage them to read the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:25-34 (WEB), "Therefore, I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they?...Therefore don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient."
Lastly, we encourage this family to use this time to draw closer to God, to study His Word, and to trust in His promises.
