Beloved of All
I was a victim of a romance scammer and lost so much money due to lies and deception. Could God restore this to me? Can He help me in my despair?

Thank you. Much appreciated. I am so grateful for your prayers. I know Christ is compassionate. We are truly sorry to hear about the financial loss and emotional pain you've experienced due to deception. First, let us assure you that God cares about your situation and He has much to give in response. When we are in despair, God is close to us. "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit" (Psalm 34:18 WEB).
In regards to restoration, God is able to do abundantly more than we can even ask or imagine. We need to trust His heart and His goodness in our lives. Remember, restoration may not always come in the form of financial gain. In many cases God does provide for us to repay what was lost. But sometimes God chooses a different path. It may be that healing your emotional pain, giving you peace, and strengthening your faith is what He knows is best. We can be assured that He will make all things work together for good, for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. God will not be mocked and He will not allow us to be tempted beyond what we can bear. We will overcome this situation by the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony.
It's important to remember that God's desire is for us to trust Him and put our faith in Him, not in wealth or material possessions. As it is written in the book of Timothy, "But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we certainly can't carry anything out. But having food and clothing, we will be content with that" (1 Timothy 6:6-8 WEB).
We believe that God will restore the stolen funds, but we cannot be sure how or when. But we can be sure that he will restore us and make us stronger than we have ever been. His ways are not our ways and His plans are always to prosper us and not to harm us. In this case, we have to be sure we do not become angry at God, but seek Him in Jesus name for our answer.
Let's pray together:
"Father in heaven, we come before You, lifting up our sister/brother who has experienced a significant financial loss and emotional pain. We ask for Your comfort and healing for their broken heart and crushed spirit. We pray for restoration, be it financial, emotional, or spiritual or all 3, according to Your will. Help them to trust in You and Your promises. May they believe you are able to do more than they ask or think. Help them to have the faith to believe that You will see them through this difficult time. We ask this in Jesus' name. We believe we will receive what we ask from the Father, because we obey His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight. Amen."
Further, let's remember Acts 4:12 (WEB), "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" Make sure to have that personal relationship with Jesus. It is only by Him that we can approach God. Surrender your life to Him. When we become born again and believe in Jesus Christ, He starts to restore us and make us better than we have ever been. It is only by Jesus Christ that we can be saved and by His name that we can approach the Father. Make sure you believe in the name of Jesus Christ and have given your life to Him.
During this time of despair, seek God more than you seek an answer to your problem. Be attentive to Him and His leading. He will be with you every step of the way. It may take time, but He will see you through. Consider this a time of preparation to receive the fullness of all that God has for you. He wants more for you than you want for yourself. But be assured that He will not leave you or forsake you. He will never fail you.
Let us also be mindful of the words of Jesus in John 16:33 (WEB), "I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble; but cheer up! I have overcome the world."
