Financial hardship

I moved back home with two of my children and their father a year ago. I am expected to buy all of the groceries and household supplies and now I am in debt. I started a new job and payday was yesterday but the company neglected to pay me and kept no record of my hours. This coming week they only scheduled me for 6 hours. I am going to a new job today to finalize paperwork. Please pray I can begin working at my new job next week and that I will have bill and grocery money for next week as well. My phone bill is due and I have no grocery money for the rest of the month and have no way to get to a food bank. Thank you.

We understand that you're facing significant financial hardship, Pwenarr, and we want to lift your burdens to the Lord together. Let's first align your situation with biblical principles and then join in prayer.

The Bible encourages us to be diligent in our work and to trust God with our needs. As it is written in 2 Thessalonians 3:10-12 (WEB), "For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: 'If anyone is not willing to work, don't let him eat.' For we hear that there are some who walk among you in rebellion, who don't work at all, but are busybodies. Now those who are such, we command and exhort in the Lord Jesus Christ, that they work with quietness and eat their own bread."

It's also crucial to remember that God cares about our needs, as Matthew 6:25-26 (WEB) tells us, "Therefore, I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they?"

Let's pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today lifting up our sister Pwenarr, asking for Your divine intervention in her life. Lord, You know the struggles she's facing, the debts, the unpaid labor, and the pressing needs of her family. We ask that You open the doors for her new job to start as soon as possible, and that it will provide abundantly for her needs.

Lord Jesus, we also pray for wisdom and proper management of finances, that Pwenarr may be able to provide groceries and pay her bills, including her phone bill. We rebuke the spirit of lack and poverty, and we claim God's provision and abundance in her life, in Jesus' name.

Lord, we also pray for fairness and justice regarding her previous job. We ask that You convict the hearts of those who have withheld her wages unjustly. We pray for the father of her children, that he would also fulfill his responsibilities and contribute to the household needs, as it is pleasing to You.

Pwenarr, we encourage you to keep your faith strong and trust in the Lord. Remember, it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"

In times like these, it's crucial to remember Philippians 4:6-7 (WEB), "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." God is listening and He cares about your concerns.

We also want to remind you of Matthew 6:33 (WEB), "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." Trust that as you seek God first, He will provide for your needs.

Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our sister Pwenarr once more. Lord, we ask that You would touch the hearts of those at her new job, softening them to allow her to start working next week. We believe that You will abundantly provide for her needs, as You promise in Psalm 37:25 (WEB), "I have been young and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken nor his seed begging for bread."

Lord, we also ask that You would move in the hearts of those who owe her wages, prompting them to do what is right and just. We pray for her children's father, that he would fulfill his responsibilities and contribute to the household needs, as it is pleasing to You.

Pwenarr, we encourage you to keep trusting in the Lord, for He is faithful. As it is written in Lamentations 3:22-23 (WEB), "The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness."

Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
