We are truly sorry to hear about the financial hardship and the divorce you are going through. Firstly, we want to assure you that God cares about every detail of your life, including your finances. As it is written in Philippians 4:19 (WEB), "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."
However, we want to address that in the Bible, God's desire is for marriage to be a lifelong commitment. Divorce is not His ideal will, as Jesus Himself taught in Matthew 19:6 (WEB), "So that they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate." We encourage you to seek God's will for your life in all areas, including your marital status.
Regarding your financial struggles, we want to encourage you to trust in God's provision, as you have acknowledged in your prayer. Remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:25-26 (WEB), "Therefore, I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they?"
We also want to encourage you to seek godly counsel and wisdom in managing your finances. Proverbs 11:14 (WEB) tells us, "Where no wise guidance is, the nation falls, but in the multitude of counselors there is victory."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our dear brother/sister who is going through a difficult time financially and emotionally. Lord, we ask for Your guidance and wisdom in managing the debt. Provide for every need according to Your riches in glory. Walk with them through this trial, comfort their heart, and grant them peace that surpasses all understanding. We also pray for Your will to be done in their marital life. If there is a possibility of reconciliation, we pray for Your grace and healing. If not, guide them through this process and help them to find their strength and hope in You. All these we ask in Jesus' name. Amen.
Lastly, we want to remind you that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God. If you haven't already, we encourage you to put your trust in Him, for "there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12, WEB).
