We understand that you are facing financial hardship due to debt incurred during a manic episode, and you're living on a fixed income. We will pray for God's provision and wisdom in your life, and we commend you for acknowledging your mental health situation is connected to your situation and reaching out for help.
Firstly, we want to remind you that God cares about every detail of our lives, including our financial needs. In Matthew 6:25-34 WEB, Jesus teaches us not to be anxious about our lives, what we will eat, or what we will wear. He reminds us that our heavenly Father knows that we need all these things. Therefore, we should seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to us as well.
However, we want to remind you that God's promises and blessings are conditional upon our walking in His Word. Proverbs 22:7 says "The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender." In addition, Romans 13:8 WEB says "Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law."
We need to be wise and avoid putting ourselves in situations where debt can enslave us. It's important to manage our finances responsibly and to live within our means. While these lessons are not meant to burden you, they are meant to encourage and inspire you to take any actions you can as you work hand in hand with God.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up Your child who is burdened with debt and financial challenges. Lord, You know the circumstances that led to this situation, and we ask for Your forgiveness if there were any actions not pleasing to You. Father, we pray for Your divine provision and wisdom. Guide them to resources and solutions that can help manage and alleviate this debt.
We also pray for healing and stability in their mental health. Guide the doctors and provide the right treatment. Help them to manage their finances wisely and live within their means.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray for an alleviation of this burden and restoration of finances. We ask for Your peace to fill their heart and mind. We thank You for Your unfailing love and faithfulness.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to also seek financial counseling or advice from reputable sources. There are non-profit organizations that provide help with debt management. Also, consider speaking with your creditors to explore payment options.
Lastly, we want to remind you that God is faithful. Continue to trust in Him and His promises. Cast all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7 WEB. Keep praying and seeking God's will in your life.
