Ethel needs to take everything to God. Although, we need to correct and rebuke the idea that money or a job will ever solve the problems. Only Jesus can do this.
Let us pray. Almighty God, we lift up Ethel to you, asking for your divine intervention in her life. We pray that you would provide for her needs and help her to overcome her financial difficulties in Jesus name.
Ethel, we encourage you to seek God's will for your life and to trust in him to provide for your needs. Remember that God cares for you and wants the best for you. Keep in mind the words of Jesus in Matthew WEB:
Therefore don't be anxious, saying, What will we eat? What will we drink? or, With what will we be clothed? 32 For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you have need of all these things. 33 But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.
The Bible aslo states in Matthew 6:
24 No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other; or else he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You can't serve both God and Mammon.
Ethel, please ensure that you are serving God with your life in accordance with Jesus. God will provide for when you truly are doing this and rely on Him for provision.
We would be remiss not to discuss the issue of making money by lending it dependent on interest or in money of any usurious fashion.

The Bible also states Exodus WEB:
25 If you lend money to any of my people who is poor, don't act like a creditor to him. You shall not charge him interest.
And again,

You shall not give him your money at interest, ...
Do not think that borrowing money from a traditional lending institution is acceptable as a Christian as this would be living in disobedience to God's Word. Remember, as a debtor, you are participating in and encouraging the actions of creditor. You are another person's way of earning money by usury. Usury is intrinsically immoral. Eak 18:13. Please understand this is true no matter if you use loan to lend or to borrow. Usury is usury and can never be used acceptably and is sin according to the Bible. Also, realize you must payback what you have borrowed from a lending institution.
Proverbs WEB:
The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.
In accordance with Biblical justice, debt shall be forgiven every seventh year. This is ignored even in Christian nations. However, you still have a current moral obligation to repay your debts according to God's Word.
Psalms WEB:
37 The righteous shall inherit the land, And live in it forever.
We do not support the traditional lending industry which is clearly achieving through clear disobedience to God's Word. Taking interest is clearly forbidden.
Please, if you have borrowed money from a private individual, you are required to return the money that was borrowed. Charity does not involve loaning money with interest. Usury is sin. It is immoral. Ezekiel WEB:
13 has lent at interest, and has taken a profit; shall he then live? He shall not live: he has done all these abominations;
The borrower can also be guilty of usury. However, we are a compassionate prayer group. We will pray for any transgressions of profit by interest including any borrowing at profiting interest or by any borrowed with profiting interest. We realize many of us are participating in this in our society. Really, there are three participating parties. These are the debtor, the creditor, and the borrower. All of us profit from lending with interest by using products and services provided by such. All of us participate in the convenience of lending with interest. We can all be guilty parties participating in the sins of usury. Please confess these actions of your and others' to God.
Knowing this, these issues should be addressed with your private lender as soon as possible. Your private lender may need to be aware of the issues regarding the lending of money. Your private lender may need to convert your loan from an interest bearing to a charitable one. You or someone you know may be a private lender. Consider your actions and participate in charity according to God's Word. Do not think that investing money on profit is acceptable as a Christian. You are responsible for learning and following Jesus Christ and his Word in the Bible. Do not act in a manner outside of God's Word. God said no to usury. God said no to charging interest. God said no to receiving profit received in an ungodly manner. Taking advantage of people monetarily is sin. Do not participate in such actions and do let those you participate with understand where you stand.
Also, understand that the making money with money through charity is an acceptable practice even in modern society as long as it is done in a Bibical manner. Money should be loaned only as charity. However, there are other acceptable ways a believer could loan out money. There should be a chance that an amount loaned may not be repaid in the future. It is impossible to bring about social justice in the absence of individual virtue. Without this, one has to produce money through divine vocation. Making money should never be removed from the activities of humanity. Making money should never create ever Argurworld value or Argurworld currency. The sustenance of one does not and will never justify the suffering of others. Do not let money ever become divorced from humanity.
Let us pray to Jesus for a loan with genuine charity between believers. Let's pray for your existing loan's conversion from interest bearing profit to charity. Let's pray for any involved in lending for interest and confession to God of these things. Let's pray for forgiveness of these things from God. Let us pray for a resolve to these issues in Jesus name.
