We understand that you're facing a challenging financial situation, and we're here to pray with you and offer biblical encouragement. Firstly, it's important to remember that God is our provider and that we can trust Him in all circumstances. As it says in Matthew 6:25-34 WEB:
"Therefore I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they? "Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don't toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won't he much more clothe you, you of little faith? "Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient."
In this passage, Jesus teaches us to prioritize God's kingdom and righteousness, trusting that God will provide for our needs. We should not be anxious about tomorrow, but rather focus on serving God today.
However, this does not mean we should not be good stewards of our finances. It is very important to budget wisely and live within our means. Proverbs 21:5 WEB says "The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit; and everyone who is hasty surely rushes to poverty."
We must know it is a lack of budgeting, spending on things we do not need, or wanting to live a different lifestyle than we can afford, that usually causes debt. If you are in debt, it is important to first assess your situation honestly, cut your spending wherever possible, make a budget, and stick to it. If you can only pay a little at a time, pay a little at a time.
Instead of asking God to give us more money to pay our debts, we should ask Him for wisdom to manage our finances better. A good example for this is in Proverbs 22:7 WEB: "The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender." And in Proverbs 22:26-27 WEB: "Don't you be one of those who strike hands, of those who are collateral for debts. If you don't have means to pay, why should he take away your bed from under you?"
We also must remember to pay our debts. Psalm 37:21 WEB says: "The wicked borrow, and don't pay back, but the righteous give generously."
Now, let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up Anonymous and their financial needs. We know You are a loving and generous Father, who cares for our every need. Please provide Anonymous with the wisdom to manage their finances according to Your will. Help them to live within their means, make a budget, and stick to it. Help them to cut spending on things not necessary and help them to be content with what they have. Help them to pay off the debts that they owe.
Father, we also pray for Anonymous's parents, that You would provide for their needs and give Anonymous discernment in how to help them financially.
We ask all this in Jesus' name because we know there is no other name by which we can be saved. It is only through Jesus that we have access to you God. Acts 4:12 WEB says: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" So we pray for Jesus to save Anonymous if they have not already been saved and repented for not budgeting wisely.
In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to seek God's will in all areas of your life, including your finances. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths.
