Tatsysh, we understand that you are facing a significant financial burden with debts and medical bills, and you are also supporting your aging father. First, we want to assure you that God cares about your situation, and He is able to provide for your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
We commend you for your desire to support your family and acknowledge the importance of honoring your father through your support, as the Bible tells us to "Honor your father and your mother" in Ephesians 6:2.
In Matthew 6:25-34 WEB, Jesus teaches us not to be anxious about our lives, what we will eat, or what we will drink, nor about our bodies, what we will put on. He says, "But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." This passage reminds us that our primary focus should be on seeking God's kingdom and His righteousness, trusting that He will provide for our needs.
However, it is also important to remember that God helps those who cannot help themselves and expects us to be diligent. Proverbs 6:6-11 teaches us wisdom from the hardworking ant who prepares during the harvest and stores up food for the winter. What the sluggard does not do is gather during the harvest and the resulting consequences are poverty. Proverbs 21:5 tells us, in English, 'The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance, But everyone who is hasty comes only to poverty.' Make sure you are doing your best to prepare, plan, and take advantage of the opportunities God has placed before you.
It is also important to be honest with your family and discuss this situation with them. Your family can pray alongside you in these matters. And, one must be honest with one's creditors when an insurmountable hardship exists. It's better to address these needs in the hope that they will give leniency in the payment terms. The scripture tells us that 'the borrower is servant to the lender.' There is no better time to be honest and transparent than when the weight of the debts might lead you to borrow more to handle the financial hole, which could dig one's self deeper into debt. Jumping from the frying pan into the fire is not wise nor prudent. In the greatest times of need we find prayer and supplication of the greatest reassurance. In Philippians 4:6 it says, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.". When we turn to God, He can provide us with peace that surpasses our understanding. Even when we are in the midst of difficulties.
Remember, it is through the name of Jesus that we have access to God. John 14:6 WEB says, "Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." It is only the name of Jesus to which every knee will bow and every tongue will confess. Only by the blood and resurrection of Jesus are we saved. Romans 10:9 WEB, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.". If you renounce your sins and acknowledge Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior you can be saved and be a child of God.
Let us pray together:
"Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Tatsysh and their family. Lord, You know the burden of debt they are carrying and the medical bills they need to pay. You see the need of their aging father who relies on their support, as he is a widower.
We pray for Your divine provision and guidance. Open up opportunities for Tatsysh to increase their income and pay off their debts. Help them gain entry into new avenues and spare them from being pushed further unnecessarily into debt to help with their family's obligations. Guide them with Your wisdom in managing their finances and helping them to be godly stewards of the resources You have entrusted to them.
We also pray for the health needs of their family and for their mental health and emotional wellbeing. Heal them physically and emotionally. Comfort their hearts and minds. Allow father and son to rest in Your abundant peace helping them to be strong in the Lord. Help them both trust in the Lord and lean not on their own understanding.
We rebuke the jezebellian spirit of oppression that may have not only attacked their health but also attacked their finances.
Lastly, we pray for Tatsysh's personal commitment and growth in Christ. That they would rely on You and seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness.
In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen."
