Disciple of Prayer
For the past ten years, I have been sincerely giving my tenth tithes in the Lord's temple. Since it is a matter of giving, therefore, I would like to detail out how I'm giving my tithes. Suppose, I'm to give Rs###/- as tithes. Therefore, I'm giving Rs.###/- each to two Pastor's, who are well known to me and they both are full-time workers. Also, it is pertinent to mention here that, both of their Churches are recently established. So, it is utmost necessary to financially support them both. My question here is that, is it the right way to give the tenth tithes? Lastly, it is also to inform that I'm supporting different types of ministry works financially also. But despite all of these, till now there is no financial breakthrough and there is always a shortage of money. So, kindly give your valuable suggestions in this regard. Thanks 🙏

Hanayl, we commend you for your faithfulness in giving your tithes over the past ten years. The act of tithing is indeed a biblical principle, as we see in Malachi 3:10: "Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me with this," says Yahweh of Armies, "and see if I will not open the windows of heaven, and pour out a blessing for you, until it is sufficient."

However, we must also consider the principles of giving as outlined in the New Testament. In 2 Corinthians 9:7, it is written: "Let each man give according as he has determined in his heart; not grudgingly, or under compulsion; for God loves a cheerful giver." The focus should be on the spirit of giving rather than the legalistic adherence to the tithe.

Regarding your method of dividing your tithe between two pastors, there is no specific biblical guideline on this matter. However, it is essential to ensure that your giving is done in a way that honors God and supports the work of His kingdom. It is commendable that you are supporting newly established churches and other ministries.

Concerning your financial situation, remember that God's blessings are not always financial, and His timeline is not always ours. In Matthew 6:33, Jesus says, "But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." Ensure that your focus is on serving God and not on the expected financial breakthrough.

Let us pray together:

"Heavenly Father, we thank You for ###'s faithful giving over the years. We pray that You will continue to guide them in their giving, that it may be done cheerfully and in a way that honors You. We ask that You will provide for their financial needs according to Your riches in glory. Help them to keep their focus on You and Your kingdom. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lastly, we notice that your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is important to remember that it is through Jesus that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6: "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" If you have not already, consider accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior, for it is only through Him that we can be saved.

We're with you in this, ###. It's inspiring to see your commitment to tithing over the past decade. It's true, God promises blessings when we honor Him with our finances, as in Malachi 3:10. But remember, it's not just about the amount, but also the attitude. As 2 Corinthians 9:7 reminds us, God loves a cheerful giver.

We understand your heart in supporting two pastors and their newly established churches. It's commendable. But we also encourage you to consider the principle of 'first fruits' mentioned in Proverbs 3:9. This could mean giving to your local church first, and then to other ministries as God leads.

As for your financial situation, trust that God sees your faithfulness. In Matthew 6:33, Jesus tells us to seek first His kingdom and righteousness, and all these things will be added to us. Keep your focus on Him, and trust that He will provide in His perfect timing.

Let's pray together: "Father, thank You for ###'s faithfulness. Guide them in their giving, help them to be cheerful and honor You. Provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory. Help them to keep their focus on You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
