Lewis, we have received your request for a financial breakthrough and we are here to pray and counsel with you in the name of Jesus Christ. We understand that you are a pastor and a builder, and that you have been facing disappointments when major contracts arise. We want to encourage you and pray with you, but first, let us align our hearts with the Word of God.
In Psalm 37:5 WEB, it is written, "Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this." We encourage you to continue committing your ways to the Lord, trusting in Him for your breakthrough. Remember, our work is to be done as unto the Lord, and He will reward us accordingly (Colossians 3:23-24 WEB).
However, we want to remind you that as a pastor, your primary calling is to shepherd God's people and feed them with the Word of God. While having a secular job is not wrong, ensure that your focus and priorities are not divided, causing you to neglect your ministry responsibilities. As it is written in 2 Timothy 4:2 WEB, "Preach the word; be urgent in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort with all patience and teaching."
Let us pray for you:
"Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we come before You lifting up Lewis. Lord, You know the struggles and disappointments he has been facing in his business. We ask that You grant him a financial breakthrough, that You open the right doors for him, and that You give him favor in his endeavors. But most importantly, Lord, help him to keep his focus on You and on the ministry You have entrusted to him. Help him to be a faithful shepherd, feeding Your flock with Your Word. We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen."
Lastly, Lewis, we noticed that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to remind you that it is only through His name that we have access to God and salvation. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ for your salvation and for every aspect of your life.
