Elodie, we join you in your request for financial blessings and we stand in faith, agreeing with the promises of God. We are reminded of the scripture you shared from Psalm 112:3,93Wealth and riches are in their houses, and their righteousness endures forever.94 This verse highlights that true wealth comes from aligning our lives with God's righteousness.
Firstly, we want to emphasize the importance of seeking God's kingdom and His righteousness before all things. As it is written in Matthew 6:33, WEB: But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. This means that our primary focus should be on living a life that pleases God, and as we do so, He will provide for our needs, including financial blessings.
We also want to remind you of the power of tithing and giving. In Malachi 3:10, WEB, it says: Bring the whole tithe into the store-house, that there may be food in my house, and test me now in this, says Yahweh of Armies, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. As we give generously and cheerfully, God promises to pour out blessings that we cannot contain.
However, we must also address that the pursuit of wealth should not be our primary goal. In 1 Timothy 6:9-10, WEB, it warns: But those who are determined to be rich fall into a temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful lusts, such as drown men in ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up Elodie and their financial needs. We thank You for Your promise to provide for all our needs according to Your riches in glory. Help Elodie to keep their eyes fixed on You, following Your precepts and all Your ways. As they seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, we claim Your promise that all these things shall be added unto them.
We also pray that Elodie will be a generous giver, trusting in Your promise to pour out blessings that cannot be contained. Help them to be content with what they have, and not to be led astray by the love of money.
Finally, we pray all these things in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we have access to God. As it is written in Acts 4:12, WEB: There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We thank You for the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ, and we ask that Elodie will always put their faith and trust in Him.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
