Let us come together in prayer for you, Rich, and your family, trusting in the Lord's provision and goodness. We appreciate that you have acknowledged your faith in Jesus Christ which is the most important decision in your life. It is only by His name that we can come to God the Father. It is also the only name by which we can be saved. We also commend your dedication to providing for your family and we know God can meet you where you are right now and provide your needs.
We are reminded of the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:31-33 (WEB):
Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.
And also in Matthew 7:7-8 (WEB):
Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Rich and his family. We know that you are our King and all things are yours and no good thing do you withhold from your children. We know that you know Rich's needs and you are able to provide. We thank You for Rich's faith and his desire to provide for his family.
Lord, we ask that You open up new opportunities for Rich to increase his income. If it is Your will, bring forth solid freelance work or even a better job opportunity that will substantially increase his take-home pay. As he has mentioned in his request, it is his desire to do better than he has done in the past. We know that you are able to do this. Provide for them that this year will be different. We know that You are able to make a way where there seems to be no way.
Help Rich to rest in Your promises and to trust in You with all his heart. Guide him in his work and give him the strength and wisdom to make the right decisions. May he always seek You first every day.
We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.
Rich, we encourage you to continue trusting in the Lord, seeking His will, and believing in His provision. As you have mentioned in your request, it is only in Jesus' Name that we can approach God. We ask that you always remember this. Keep working diligently, and remember that the Lord honors those who honor Him. Be patient, be faithful, and watch as the Lord works in your life. Also as you have requested, ask the Lord for forgiveness of your sins when you sin and believe that you are forgiven. It is by faith that we can come before God in the name of Jesus and receive forgiveness. And we can come boldly before His throne to receive mercy and grace to help in time of need.
Lastly, Rich, we want to encourage you to be content with what you have, but also to strive for more in a godly way. Be an example to your family of a man who trusts in the Lord and seeks His will. We believe the word of God and it says that God will supply all your needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
