We understand that you are seeking financial blessing and forgiveness. Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging the Lord Jesus Christ in your prayer. It is only through His name that we can approach God the Father, for He is our Great High Priest and mediator.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your forgiveness and Your blessing. We ask that You forgive us our sins, as we also forgive those who sin against us. We ask this according to the prayer that Jesus taught us to pray as recorded in Matthew 6:9-13 WEB:
“Pray like this: ‘Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. Let your Kingdom come. Let your will be done, as in heaven, so on earth. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors. Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen.’
Father, we ask for Your will to be done in the matter of this mortgage refinance. If it is Your will, we pray that it would indeed go through smoothly and without setbacks. We do not decree these things, but rather we ask in humility, knowing that Your will is best. We ask for Your blessing and provision over our brother and his son Thomas. 1 John 5:14-15 WEB says “This is the confidence which we have before him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him.”
As a final point, forgive us if we have wrongly interpreted the words of Jesus on the cross. When He said “It is finished,” He was referring to the completion of His work of redemption, the ultimate sacrifice for our sins. It is through this finished work that we have access to You, Father. It is not a decree for us to use to bring about our desired outcomes, but rather a declaration of the ultimate victory over sin and death.
Thank You, Father, for Your love, forgiveness, and provision.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
