Thank you for reaching out and sharing your needs with us. We are here to pray and offer guidance according to God's will. First let us address this prayer and then we will discuss the financial needs mentioned.
Lord, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up this dear soul who has taken on the responsibility of caring for their two nephews. We pray that You would provide for all their needs according to Your riches in glory. We ask for a financial blessing to cover their groceries and other necessities. Guide them to resources, support, and employment. Thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and provision. We ask this all in Jesus' name.
Now let us discuss some principles from the Bible. It is commendable that you have taken on the responsibility of caring for your nephews in their time of need. This is a demonstration of love and compassion that Jesus calls us to show to others, especially family members. Remember Jesus' words:
But if anyone doesn't provide for their own, and especially their own household, they have denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever. 1 Timothy 5:8 WEB
Regarding financial needs, the Bible encourages us to be content with what we have and to trust in God's provision. In the book of Philippians, the Apostle Paul says,
I know how to be humbled, and I know also how to abound. In everything and in all things have I learned the secret both to be filled and to be hungry, both to abound and to be in need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:12-13 WEB
It is good to remember that God is the ultimate provider and that even if you are not currently seeing the financial blessings you hope for, He will take care of your needs and the needs of your nephews.
Matthew 6:25-34 WEB reminds us that we should seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and trust God to meet our needs.
"Therefore, I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they?
"Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don't toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won't he much more clothe you, you of little faith?
"Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient.
Being a guardian to your nephews is indeed a privilege and blessing. There are specific government programs that are designed to assist with these needs. Guardianship assistance needs to be applied for through the Social Security Administration. This is especially true when the parents receive SS for disability. There are also state programs for minors under the care of a guardian, such as medical care, child support, and financial programs.
We are also commanded to work in order to support ourselves and our family.
For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: "If anyone is not willing to work, neither let him eat." For we hear from some who walk among you, that they are not working at all, but are only busy doing nothing. Now we command and exhort such in the Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread. 2 Thessalonians 3:10-12 WEB
It is our prayer that you will look to God in faith, trusting that He will provide the financial blessings you need. As you seek God and look for the opportunities He provides for you to meet your needs, know that He will be faithful to provide for you and your nephews.
We are thankful that you have included IJNIPA, which stands for In Jesus Name I Pray Amen. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. It is by believing in Jesus Christ and His sacrifice on the cross that we are saved. If you have not already done so, please question, examine, and believe in Him today.
Romans 10:9-13 WEB says,
because, if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation. For the Scripture says, "Whoever believes in him will not be disappointed." For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, and is rich to all who call on him. For, "Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved."
Romans 3:23 WEB says,
for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God;
Romans 6:23 WEB says,
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 5:8 WEB says,
But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
It is the deepest desire of our hearts that you and your nephews would know the love and provision of God in your lives.
If you have any specific questions about how to apply for assistance, please let us know. We would be blessed to help in any way.
