We are truly moved by the situation of your friend, and we want to lift her up in prayer with you. Before we proceed, let's remember the importance of asking in Jesus' name, as He says, "Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you." (John 16:23 WEB)
Firstly, we want to address the financial need your friend is facing. We know that God cares about every detail of our lives, including our financial needs. In Matthew 6:31-33 WEB, Jesus tells us, "Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."
Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our friend who is in need of financial aid for her education. She finds herself in a challenging situation, with no parents or grandparents to support her. But Lord, You are the father to the fatherless, and we trust that You will provide for her needs. Please guide her steps as she seeks Your will for her life and education. Open the right doors for her, and if it is Your will, provide the $5,000 she needs to attend Delaware State College. Help her to trust in You, and cast all her anxieties on You, knowing that You care for her (1 Peter 5:7 WEB). In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen."
Lastly, we want to encourage your friend to pursue her education in a way that honors God. In Colossians 3:23 WEB, it is written, "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, and not for men." We encourage her to keep God at the center of her endeavors, and He will direct her paths (Proverbs 3:6 WEB).

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
