Kensem, we join you in your request for God's provision and want Gods will for your life. First though it is important to note that there is great power in the name of Jesus. God expects us to make our requests known in the name of Jesus.
The name you invoke is important. In John 14: 13-14 WEB it states that "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son." If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it and in John 16:24 you will ask and receive, that your job may be full.
Much money and riches are not necessarily the primary intention of God. It is a glorius relationship with Him through Jesus. Those longing for riches are warned against that need in 1 Timothy 6: 10, "For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows."
That doesn’t mean that God doesn’t want you financially secure, but it is important that, as a Christian, you need to become content in whatever state you find yourself through your relationship with Jesus. We believe without a doubt that God wants you and everyone to be saved and have an eternally wonderful relationship with Him. If financial woes are hindering your relationship, growth with God, or your ability to minister then believing for relief from that is warranted and getting a job is good. However, want and need are two different things and Pslam 37: 30 states "The mouth of the righteous talks of wisdom. His tongue speaks justice. 31The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.", and the next verse states, 10Better is a little that the righteous has, than the abundance of many wicked.
Ye, God is a God of provision His word states in Matthew 6:7-8 WEB, "Therefore, don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?', or "With what will we be clothed?" 32For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things." It is important to realize it needs to be Gods will, provision of your needs, and not a wealth bound life that you are seeking. Let Psalms 37:20 be your guide, "But the wicked will perish; the enemies of the Lord shall be like the beauty of the fields: they will vanish- vanished in smoke, they shall vanish away". Wait on the Lord, and keep His Way; and He shall exalt you to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off; you will see it.
Without assurance that you are saved we cannot declare with any confidence that God will meet and exceed your needs. We have this certainty though that if you truly walk, believe, and obey Jesus and follow to do Gods will, all other issues in your life will be handled including glorious eternity.
Join with in prayer that you will be faithful, eager, and willing to do God's plan and that you will be satisfied, reviled, and content in whatever God sees will be best for you. He'll supply your needs.
This it the heartfelt prayer we lift on behalf of you and your family. Kensmen, we pray that this year all of your needs will be met so by God. We pray that your whole families needs are met. We pray also to be the light of Jesus and Jesus calls all to repentance and service as Matthew 4:17-29 states.
We rebuke praying for wealth and riches that make itself an idol in your life and allows thinking that this is a substitute for trust, obedience, and true relaionship with Jesus. Instead put complete trust in God, and believe Jesus being your Savior.
By its very definition, being a Christian requires one to follow and adhere to Christ; therefore, we pray that you put every effort into following Jesus and conform to godly principles.
So God Let your light shine before this family and All men; that they may see your good work, and glorify your Father, Father which is in heaven. May everything by your will and in Jesus Name We are thankful for the opportunity to help testify the Gospel of Jesus to have the privilege to pray for Kensman and their family.
