Kensem, we join you in your request for financial abundance and strategically pray for God's provision in your life and that of your family. We remember Proverbs 30:8-9, "Remove far from me falsehood and lies. Give me neither poverty nor riches. Feed me with the food that is needful for me; lest I be full, deny you, and say, 'Who is Yahweh?' or lest I be poor, and steal, and so dishonor the name of my God."
Firstly, we would like to remind you of the importance of centering your requests on God's will and aligning your desires with His plans for you, instead of purely your own. 1 John 5:14-15 says, "This is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him." It is crucial to seek God's will first and foremost, knowing that He will provide exactly what you need according to His sovereign will.
We pray that you understand the principle that if you seek God and put His priorities first, then He will take care of your needs. If Kensem is not putting God first in life and in obedience, God will not be obligated to provide and reciprocate. "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." Matthew 6:33
We pray that you will look at where God has you now, being thankful and content and not looking at other people and financial situations or be concerned about tomorrow or next year. "Don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient." Matthew 6:34
Additionally, we would like to remind you that our God is a loving Father who knows your needs and will provide for them according to His riches in glory. As it is written in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Trust in Him, and do not lean on your own understanding. Remember Jesus's words when he said this to believers (and specifically referring to Jesus as being the difference between what the unbelievers claim and pray for and what Christians do):
"Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they?
Matthew 6:25-26. "Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient." Matthew 6:31-34
We also remember how the apostle Paul was trapped between wanting to be in heaven with Christ and ministering to God's people here: "For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. But if I live on in the flesh, this will bring fruit from my work; yet I don’t know what I will choose. But I am in a dilemma between the two, having the desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better." Philippians 1:21,23. Hopefully Kensem is looking for his ultimate eternal paradise for heavenly financial blessings beyond comparison to the human experience.
Lastly, we need to mention the fact that you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer request. Kensem, access to God can be achieved only through Jesus Christ who made it possible when He atoned for our sins on the cross and became our mediator and reconciler with God.
"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" John 14:6. It is by the name of Jesus Christ that we are saved, and it is in His name that God grants us His grace and favor. As it is written in Acts 4:12 - "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
We pray that the knowledge of truth will be renewed in your thinking. May you continue to look to God as your provider, putting Him first in your life, having thankfulness for what you have, and hoping for His eternal kingdom with finances that pale in comparison. We pray this not being a request for your wishes but God's will and in accordance with His plans and not yours.
We pray this in the precious name of Jesus Christ and for His sake in which we pray.
