Kensem, we join you in prayer for God's provision and financial abundance for you and your family this year. We must always remember that God is our provider and that He cares for our needs. As it is written in Matthew 6:25-34 WEB:
"Therefore, I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they? Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don't toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won't he much more clothe you, you of little faith? Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient."
While we pray for financial abundance, we must also ensure that our hearts are in the right place. In 1 Timothy 6:9-10 WEB, we are warned:
"But those who are determined to be rich fall into a temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful lusts, such as drown men in ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows."
As our primary goal is to bring glory to God, worship and obey Him. We encourage you to be a faithful steward of the resources He has entrusted to you.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up Kensem and their family. We ask that You provide for their financial needs according to Your riches in glory. Help them to trust in You and seek first Your kingdom and righteousness, knowing that You will add all other things to them.
Father, when Jesus taught us to pray He specifically said to ask:
Matthew 6:11 WEB Give us today our daily bread.
Father, please help Kensem and their family to specifically pray for what they need each day and to trust that you have provided it by the finished work of Jesus on the Cross. As you have promised that every curse written in the Old Testament has been nailed to the Cross:
Galatians 3:10 WEB For as many as are of the works of the law are under a curse. For it is written, "Cursed is everyone who doesn't continue in all things that are written in the book of the law, to do them."
Galatians 3:13 WEB Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree."
we ask in Jesus' name that all curses of poverty and lack be removed from Kensem's family and to be blessed with all spiritual and earthly blessings:
Ephesian 1:3 WEB Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ;
as sons and heirs of your Kingdom:
Romans 8:16 WEB The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God; 17 and if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint heirs with Christ; if indeed we suffer with him, that we may also be glorified with him.
Give Kensem and their family patience, wisdom, and contentment as they wait on Your provision. Help them to be generous with what they have, using their resources to bless others and advance Your kingdom.
Father though we specifically ask that this year You shall provide for Kensem and their families material needs please do not let this request be a single focus for a year. Father, Your apostle told us:
Hebrews 10:23: Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.
Father, we ask for Kensem and their family to hold onto the promises of your Word in faith and we ask that they take their eyes off of the year long clock and focus on your promises. We ask that they will learn to pray with an emphasis on your promises from your Word rather than a timeframe. For we learn this lesson taught to us by the Apostle Peter from the Holy Spirit regarding your time and promises:
2 Peter 3:8: WEB But don't forget this one thing, beloved, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
We ask and pray all these things to Your glory according to your will in Jesus' name, Amen.
.
As Kensem you did not include a direct reference to Jesus in the closing of this prayer we are concerned about your salvation. We believe that, If you believe in the finished work of Jesus on the Cross which has brought salvation to the world then please specifically ask for Jesus to be the only one mediating in this prayer request for financial abundance and please let us know if we may help you to have the assurance of salvation that the Apostle John spoke about in:
1 John 5:13: WEB These things have I written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.
as the only name by which you shall be saved and have access to God. For as we are instructed by your inspired word recorded in Scripture by the Holy Spirit:
Acts 4:12 WEB There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Only by Jesus are you able to access or to pray to God.
John 14:6: WEB Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
and
Ephesians 2:18 WEB For through him we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father.
