Kensem, we are joining you in prayer for God's provision and abundance in your life and the lives of your family members. We stand on the promises of God, who has assured us that He will supply all our needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus, as it states "God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We should not look at it selfishly because He has provided to share. The giving and receiving to each other provides abundance because if we look out for others He provides through others in unexpected ways, because that is how a true community in Jesus is suppose to be and the fruits of living according to Jesus are peace and abundance through joy. Jesus had very harsh words against being selfish in his Parable of the rich fool: "And he told them a parable, saying, The land of a certain rich man produced good crops. He thought to himself, 'What shall I do, for I do not have room to store my crops?' He said, 'This is what I will do. I will tear down my barns, and build bigger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods. I will tell my soul, "Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years. Take your ease, eat, drink, and be merry."' "But God said to him, 'Foolish man, your soul is required of you tonight. The things which you have prepared - whose will they be?' So is the one who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God." Be thankful to God because as Paul instructs Timothy to the believers, he writes in First Timothy: "But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and we certainly can carry nothing out. But having food and clothing, we will be content with that. But those who are determined to be rich fall into temptation, a trap, and many foolish and harmful desires, which plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows. But you, man of God, flee these things, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, and gentleness. Fight the good fight of faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and you confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
Pray with us:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Kensem and their family. We pray for a miraculous manifestation of your abundant provision in their lives, by the standard of scripture as in grace and with godliness they should be content. We ask that You open the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing that they will not have room enough to receive. We pray that You will guide them in managing the resources You provide and using them to further Your kingdom and to bless others. Help them to be faithful stewards and givers, as You give them grace to be content in all things.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
Also, Kensem, we encourage you to continue seeking God's will and growing in your relationship with Jesus Christ.
